MateSmart Terms & Conditions
1. Overview
Welcome to MateSmart (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, mobile site, and communication channels including WhatsApp (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or placing an order on MateSmart, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.
2. Nature of Services
MateSmart is an online grocery, medicine, and fast food delivery platform currently operating in Matelli (and nearby Indong areas). Customers can browse, order, and receive products through our website or WhatsApp ordering service. All deliveries are handled by our in-house delivery team.
3. User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. For prescription medicines, users must upload a valid doctor’s prescription, and we reserve the right to verify it before processing the order.
4. Ordering and Payment
Orders can be placed directly via our website or through our official WhatsApp channel.
- We accept payments via UPI, Cash on Delivery (COD), and other cash modes.
- Depending on the product type, payment may be collected either before or after delivery.
- MateSmart does not store your payment information; all payments are processed securely through authorized gateways.
5. Cancellations
Orders can be canceled before dispatch or within a reasonable time after placing the order. Cooked or prepared food items cannot be canceled once confirmed, as preparation begins immediately after order placement.
6. Returns & Refunds
We accept returns or replacements within 24–48 hours of delivery for eligible items. Perishable, temperature-sensitive, or opened consumables (including cooked food) are not eligible for return. Refunds may be processed to your original payment method or adjusted in your next order. The cost of return or replacement may vary depending on the situation (e.g., product damage, wrong item, etc.).
7. Delivery
All deliveries are handled by MateSmart’s in-house delivery team to ensure speed and quality. Delivery timelines may vary based on order volume, location, or unforeseen conditions (e.g., weather, traffic, stock availability). Customers must be available at the delivery address or reachable by phone at the time of delivery.
8. Account Registration
Users may place orders as guests or by creating an account. Registered users may be required to verify their phone number or email via OTP verification. You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your account details.
9. Privacy and Data Use
MateSmart collects basic personal details (such as name, address, email, and phone number) to process orders and communicate updates. We may also use your information for marketing communications (offers, reminders, updates). We do not share or sell your personal data to third parties. 10. Cookies and Tracking
MateSmart does not use tracking cookies or analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Basic session cookies may be used only to maintain website functionality.

12. Limitation of Liability

- Delays in delivery due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Product unavailability or pricing errors.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services.
